I went to database and change the embedUri by removing the redundant http://... , it worked out pretty good. Anybody has the same problem? should I report this as a bug? Keep on the good work!

leeming,

you shoudn't put in http:// url but server paths to mambo, i'll rework the config screen and better handeling.

so Path to Mambo should be: /mambo/

michiel, only in embedded. standalone works great.

standalone: http://www.purposefilled.net/gallery2
embedded: http://www.purposefilled.net/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=27

I would disable the script debug feature and turn off the display everyscript error.

This is all in the Internet Options' Advanced tab.

I won't be able to set the IE options on the computer of everyone who visits my site....

But the main issue is that I want the hybrid theme to display correctly in IE like it does in my standalone gallery :(

Hi,

could anybody post the inserts for the mos_gallery2 table? I've a problem saving the configuration. I'll always get the the empty form back and the configuration is not saved.
So i want to do the configuration manually in the table.
But i need to know the values for field and value.

After that i think i get the next problem, mambo uses iso-8859-1 and gallery2 utf8.
There will always be the problem using the component.
No chance to use gallery2 with iso-8859-1?

Regards
Michael

jeff260z,

install latest nightlybuild gallery2 rc1, it will most likely fix the problem.

Super thanks Michiel. Is the componant compatible with the new RC1? Or will I have to update that as well?

I don't think this one has been posted although I've seen similar. I'm running gallery RC1 embedded in mambo 4.5.2. I use separate databases. I would consider merging them if there's an easy way to do it. I'm using com_gallery2 2.0.6, and the sidebar and block just downloaded last week.

I have URL rewrite turned on in gallery and appear to need friendly URLs turned on in Mambo.

The issue I have is with the sidebar. I have the sidebar configured just to show when gallery is up. However when I navigate down in gallery, the sidebar disappears. I find if I configure the sidebar always to show that it no longer disappears but of course I get the error on non-gallary pages that I shouldn't be showing the sidebar.

For now I've commented out that error but the sidebar still takes up a little space and makes the page look unclean. I'm sure this isn't the preferred solution. ;)

Anyone else have this problem? Have a fix?

komacke,

could you send me your url through in a pm, so i can view the url's being generated.
On which page doesn't the sidebar module show up?

has the problem with Mambo + Community Builder + G2 fixed yet in the nightly fix?

the problem where guests and administrator users can view the main photos not the the login users themselves.

I am also interested to get an answer to that question. There is really a bad issue with UTF-8 causing many problems with localized versions of Mambo.

rza,

was there a problem then i'm using that combo on 3 different sites and i have no problem with permissions?

Lakys,
To my knowledge gallery2 can put out any other coding then UTF-8 until that is possible we have this problem or mambo should also use UTF-8, but for existing site this is quite hard because all the content has to be modified i gues.

Thank you. Well I don't have much content on Mambo, any idea how to switch to UTF-8? I don't know where it is set.

Hi,

I can't seem to be able to embed my gallery2 onto mambo. The site being: www.trancerepublic.com/mambo

In addition to that, I noticed that my embedUri is given as /var/www/html/mambo/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid= where there's not itemid number given after that. Perhaps someone could point to the correct place to extract the itemid?

Thanks.

It looks like your paths are messed up. Don't worry about the embeduri itemid because if you are using a newer version like 2.09 it will automatically get the itemid. What version are you using?

Hi,

They are as follows:

Full Path to Gallery G2: /var/www/html/gallery2/

Relative path to Gallery G2: /gallery2/

Path to Mambo:/var/www/html/mambo/

Thanks,

Hi,

I've changed the path, but the error still remains. I'm gonna see if having the G2 folder within the Mambo folder helps.

if you g2 folder is outside your mambo folder you would need to have ../gallery2/ as your relative path to g2

Hi,

I've installed g2 into the same directory as my mambo but its still giving me errors.

The 3 paths now look like this:

/var/www/html/mambo/gallery2/

./gallery2

/mambo/

I got this error when I tried to access your gallery embedded into mambo at http://www.trancerepublic.com/mambo/index.php?option=com_gallery2

<b>Fatal error</b>: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 184320 bytes) in <b>/var/www/html/mambo/gallery2/lib/bbcode/bbcode.class</b> on line <b>477</b><br />

Have you tried to increase your memory limit in your php.ini?

hi,

Yes I realised its set at 8 MB I've changed it to 32 MB and I've managed to get the gallery2 to appear on my site. However, i'm still having errors with the side bar. It seems like my path is still wrong.

All these postings helped a bit, but I'm still getting "your not in the gallery embedded page". I've installed Joomla 1.0.7 and the latest Gallery2 (which works great standalone). Joomla is in the htdocs directory of Apache2 and Gallery is installed straight under it

So, standalone urls are:
joomla: http://localhost/index.php
Gallery2: http://localhost/gallery/main.php

com_gallery2 settings:
Full Server Path to G2: /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/gallery/
Relative Server Path to G2: ./gallery
Path to Joomla: /

Note: I had to change the relative path in the database, as via the component/config "./gallery" was consistantly replaced by "gallery".

Strangely(?): when is type: http://localhost/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=37
everything works fine!

What could this be?

Thanks in advance...

I fear I may be losing it here. I have an installed and working mambo (4.5.4) at http://theadamsclan.com I have my gallery2 (2.02) at http://theadamsclan.com/vftagallery

com_gallery2 settings are:

Full Server Path to G2: /home/username/public_html/vftagallery/
Relative Server Path to G2: ./vftagallery/
Path to Mambo: /

When I hit save, it tells me that my path to mambo is incorrect. It's not though. When I click the link to the gallery within the mambo cms, I receive the following error:

Warning: embed(embed.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/theadams/public_html/components/com_gallery2/userfuncs.php on line 72

Fatal error: embed(): Failed opening required 'embed.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/theadams/public_html/components/com_gallery2/userfuncs.php on line 72

Searching the forums, I see similar problems, but no actual resolutions (it's possible that I am frustrated and therefore blind...I apologize in advance if that is the case). Regardless, any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello All!!

I need some help pretty please :).

I would like to integrate Mambo with G2. I have used the following URL to download "integrations/mambo.zip"

http://galleryupdates.jpmullan.com/#integrations

I have uploaded this as a component successfully and have some issues configuring the component. i am using the following entries and get the error "Full path to Gallery2 is inorrect!".

Full Path to Gallery G2: /public_html/g2data/gallery2
Relative path to Gallery G2: ../g2data/gallery2/
Path to Mambo: /

I have read most of all the other posts and tried variations of the above and have problems. I am using a hosting provider and could it be possible that the full path is not shown to me via FTP? The lowest path I can get to is the folder before public_html.

Any help would be good - I want to prep mys it to upload my wedding photos.

Many thanks in advance.

Help -

I had Mambo 4.5.5 working with Gallery 2 then I upgraded to Gallery version = 2.2.2 and now I can't get the bridge working. I've reinstalled the Bridge Version: 2.0.6 and I can't get it to work. I've tried the latest bridge (2.0.14); however it requires Joomlalib and I don't think that will work with Mambo?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
