When I use /gallery to upload photos, there is an option of "Use filename as caption if no caption is specified." with a checkbox. I always use it.

With this Gallery Remote, there is no opetion and when I uploaded lots of files, all photos comes with the filenames as the caption! I had to manually edit each photos.

Can this be added in the next release of Gallery Remote?

I, too, would like this to be a selectable option.

TSutton, I'm not sure if you figured this out, but you can change this setting by editing the default.properties file and changing the "setCaptionsWithFilenames" value. I have changed this to FALSE for me, but there are times when I would like this feature.

Thanks for it, seems to work fine!

I'd like to see this as added feature in the Menu bar or checkbox on the GUI.

Sometimes I want the filename-based captions, usually I don't. I'd vote for making this a UI option, too. Thanks!

It is in GR 1.1 beta. Right now the versions on your site (nightlies) are based on 1.0.x branch, but as soon as I've figured out the problems with uploading to embedded Galleries, I'll close 1.0.x and move to 1.1.

1.1 has a preference dialog so you don't have to mess with the prefs file.

Jesse, what would happen if I put such a build on the staging URL for the daily builds of 1.0.1? I guess I'll try it, see if it pops up on your site

I think that my script will download one build per day. You could put two out there and I could test it. Let me know, either through a pm or email:
