Picking Specific Albums for Block and hacks

I have tried to find any suggestions for getting the random photo block to only select from specific albums, but so far no luck on the threads. Also, there seems there was a hack available to show top10albums etc but the link to

http://www.transitgallery.com/files/

is not working?

Is there a way I can only show certain albums and where I can get the hacks previously available at that dead link?
