gallery installed fine, now I and the module installed fine, now I am unable to view any albums due to an improver url that is generated (if i manually repair the url in my browser, i can view it just fine).
see : http://oracle.godsyn.com/component/option,com_gallery/Itemid,43/ and click on the test gallery....
also : i've tried turning off / on mod_rewrite though htacess (in mambo and the gallery),
I've attempted to see if it was the dir path placed in the gallery component, and have tried the following :
D:/WEB/users/oracle/gallery/
D:\WEB\users\oracle\gallery\
D:/WEB/users/oracle/gallery
D:\WEB\users\oracle\gallery
to no avail. Please assist.
(Example bad URL) : http://oracle.godsyn.com/\/index.php?set_albumName=test&option=com_gallery&Itemid=43&include=view_album.php
(as displayed in address bar) http://oracle.godsyn.com/%5C/index.php?set_albumName=test&option=com_gallery&Itemid=43&include=view_album.php

# the version of Gallery, 1.5-RC2
# the version of PHP, 5
# the version of Apache, 2
# your operating system and hardware, XP/intel586
# (if applicable) the web browser and version you are using, firefox 1.0.1
# any debug output or clues that you've already discovered. above

What are your variables that you stored in gallery's config? (config.php) for photoalbumurl?

from config.php

$gallery->app->galleryTitle = "Gallery";
$gallery->app->useIcons = "no";
$gallery->app->skinname = "none";
$gallery->app->uploadMode = "form";
$gallery->app->albumDir = "D:/WEB/users/oracle/gallery/albums";
$gallery->app->tmpDir = "d:/web/users/oracle/gallery/temp";
$gallery->app->photoAlbumURL = "http://oracle.godsyn.com/gallery";
$gallery->app->albumDirURL = "http://oracle.godsyn.com/gallery/albums";
$gallery->app->movieThumbnail = "D:/WEB/users/oracle/gallery/images/movie.thumb.jpg";

i've tried with and without trailing slash.

I'm unable to verify this behavior using current builds.

That's nice and all, but if I can't verify it, I can't fix it. It also means it may be an issue purely on your site.

I'm also having trouble with Gallery since upgrading my Mambo to 4.5.2.1.

That's not exactly a helpful message.

What *kind* of trouble? What version of Gallery?

I wasn't really asking for help... just helping to back up syn's claim that the upgrade can and does cause problems. I'm looking into the possible causes and will let you know what i find.
