Thumbnail slideshow

Could someone point me to a tutorial on how to make a slideshow of thumbnails on Gallery 1.4? I can't seem to find anything on the FAQs or Discussions for this.

Basically, I'd like to do what I've done on the index page of http://wedding.ilgunas.net, but display thumbnails instead of the full images to save some real estate.

Any ideas?
