Hi,

I just upgrade my G2 beta to 23-03-2005 version this morning. It looks very fine during the upgrade process.

Now, I have problem to view the new uploaded jpg photo. G2 does't generate the thumbnail and does't display the selected new photo.

It just allows me to download it (Download this unknow).
In the pathbar, G2 reported the Full size of the new item is "Unknow"...

I have checked the g2data directory, the new uploaded jpg file is named to "filename_jpg" instead of "filename.jpg" now.

I have something wrong during the upgrade or there are issue on 23-03 release?

first go to Site Admin / modules and see if any modules need upgrading, and make sure you have an active graphics toolkit.
then install/active the Mime types module.. then click Mime types in Site Admin sidebar.. do you see jpeg listed in the list of mime types?

I have checked all modules in SiteAdmin, the value of "Version" and "Installed" field are matched.

Yes, I have two Graphics Toolkits activated. I have tried to deactivate and reactivate "ImageMagick" and "NetPBM". Now only "NetPBM" activated.

May I know where is the "Mime type" module? I can't find it from the SiteAdmin->Module...

it is very new, maybe didn't make the last nightly snapshot.. try tomorrow's and it should show up in the Extra Data section of modules list.

I have tried the 24-03 snapshot and added the mime type manyally. I can upload and view the photo now. :)

But I have problem to delete the mistyped mime type. G2 told me the selected mime type has been deleted, but it still in the mime list. :(

Same problem here.

I fixed the "gallery_remote2.php" issue with Gallery Remote by applying Windows Server 2003 SP1 RC2. Fixed it wonderfully.

With the 3/23/05 snapshot I have this "underscore" problem as well with newly uploaded photos. I'll install the 3/24 nightly and see what happens.

I installed the "latest" snapshot, as of just now. I activated the new "MIME Types" module. When I click on it, I see these errors at the top of the screen. The font size on the whole page is larger, and I see no MIME Types listed. (Using Win2K3 SP1 RC2, IIS 6).

----------
Warning: array_keys(): The first argument should be an array in D:\webroot\gallery2\modules\mime\MimeAdmin.inc on line 92

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\webroot\gallery2\modules\mime\MimeAdmin.inc on line 92
----------

I can click on Add Mime Type, however, and that seems to work. After I add a Mime Type, I don't get the errors and the screen looks normal again.

What should I enter for a mime type for JPGs? Or should I just wait for another nightly build?

Thanks!!

Thanks for the tip, I got GIF and PNG working again, but I can't delete my misnamed JPG type, so I can't get JPGs to work.

Definately some problems with deleting and editing MIME types. :)

How can I manually delete these MIME types (in the file system) and start over?

Thanks.

Update -

I was able to modify my typo'd image/jpeg entry by first Applying, then Saving.

Still can't delete mime types though. It says it deletes them, but they remain on the list.

Ericular,
Do you still have the problem? what is the mime type that you are trying to delete? Can you look if the last mime type in the list gets deleted instead (hopefully not...) Sorry, I didn't see this post until today
