[SOLVED] G2 Upgrade Error after fresh CVS Install

Gallery URL (optional): http://216.55.164.84/
Gallery version: 2 (0.8) trying to upgrade to 0.9.8
Webserver (with version): Apache 2.0.51-2.9
Datatabase (with version): MySQL 3.23.58-9.1
PHP version (eg 4.2.1): PHP 4.3.10-2.4
phpinfo URL (optional): not public
Graphics Toolkit(s): IM/GDK/...
Operating system: FedoraC2
Web browser/version: Moz.
G1 version (for migration bugs):

I just installed G2 via CVS.. install with great, just one error regarding it accepting a valid data path outside the httpdocs, had to make it within httpdocs, but anyways... completed installation.. wen to my site, and all it will let me do i "upgrade" i have no option to say "no".

it will not let me view the main page. when i try to upgrade, i get this:

this is on my server, so i have total access, and can provice the address if anyone thinks they can help:

it you see the upgrader right after a new install then something has already gone wrong. did any steps in the installer timeout or just stop and you had to hit reload in your browser? fyi, the url you posted is G1.

yea, i deaulted back to G1 to make sure G was compat with this new server...

no.. installer went correctly on g2, said it was done. then when tried to load, went to /update...

will try to recreate this afternoon

if it is a consistent problem you can PM me ssh/ftp access to your server and i can try to debug.

got the same Error and just downloaded the dailey Snapshot.

I installed it within pngallery2
http://www.franken-reggae.de/mod-pngallery2.html

I installed before the Alfa4 what comes with pngallery2, and installation went almost fine and I needed to reload it once. just can not remember what welse it said as error.

try tomorrow's nightly snapshot.. it won't let you past the install-core step anymore if it didn't really complete successfully. don't know if it will give you any useful information, but at least you won't continue along thinking it worked..

Hallo mindless,

I finally got it work so far, took the dailey snapshot from yesterday upgraded it, but still the Storage error, after that I tried installing it from the beginning(delete tables, g2data,...) and it worked fine and completly through,....
At the Moment I just have another Problem with loggin in because of using pngallery2 I adressed the Problem in the Forum there,...
I am always just guest, when I try accessing the gallery through postnuke,... So I do not know that galler2 is complete working so far it looks good.
