Mambo and Gallery - Broken Links in Gallery

I'm new to Mambo (use postnuke on my other sites) but have used gallery numerous times. I'm trying to embed Gallery in Mambo but my links are messed up. If I log in as an admin and go to gallery I get the new album link.

In firefox the link that icon is pointing to is:
http://coreymatejka.com/%5C/index.php?return=%5C%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_gallery%26Itemid%3D27%26include%3Dview_album.php&cmd=new-album&option=com_gallery&Itemid=27&include=do_command.php

In Internet Explorer the link that icon is pointing to is:
http://index.php/?return=%5C%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_gallery%26Itemid%3D27%26include%3Dview_album.php&cmd=new-album&option=com_gallery&Itemid=27&include=do_command.php

In both cases, the links do not work. Gallery links works fine outside of Mambo. I haven't added any albums yet so I don't know if those links are screwed up. I'm sure I probably have something in Mambo set up wrong but I'm not sure what. Any help would be appreciated.

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://coreymatejka.com/index.php?option=com_gallery&Itemid=27 (no content though)
Gallery version: 1.5-rc3
Apache version: 2.x (most recent available)
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 5.0.4
Graphics Toolkit: ImageMagick-6.2.1-Q16
Operating system: Windows 2000 SP4
Web browser/version (if applicable): Firefox and IE
Embed in Mambo 4.5.2.1

I have now tried changing my php from 5.0.4 to 4.3.11. I changed mysql (which should really have anything to do with gallery) also. 4.1 down to 4.0. And I reinstalled Mambo and Gallery..... Same exact problem.

I hate being a me too. but...

Exactly the same problem.

Apache 2
PHP 4.3.10
embeded in Mambo 4.5.2.1
Gallery 1.5 (latest as of today)
running on Win2k

netpbm or Imagemagik no difference
browser makes no difference
the link on the highlight picture is malformed like:
http://site.org/%5C/index.php?set_albumName=Barney&option=com_gallery&Itemid=35&include=view_album.php

the %5C between the site and the index.php converts to \ making the url invalid

Suggestions please I really wnat to use gallery for this site vs some of the other choices.

I spoke too soon it seems. An odd unusual thing keeps happening. I last noticed it last night (just about bed time of course).

I applied the patch and all seemed well at that time. A few hours later I was checking some things out using firefox (my normal browser) and the "\" was back. As an experiment I tried the site with IE and the URL was ok. I couldn't believe it but I could see it both were on the screen at the same time. Pages generated within a second or so of each other. A short while later it is back to being right in firefox again and IE was still ok. Since while looking into this on ocassion I have seen it do "//\" only on firefox.

Is there some kind of browser specific caching going on in gallery or mambo? I've had other people try this with simular results. I have been able to reproduce this from other computers in the same network and computers outside the same network.

The site is: http://knoxcountyartleague.org/

I also have disabled the random image block (mambo module) as this consistantly produced the same problem for the link on the image in the image block.
