Single Photo Requests: Not in Albums and Photo Permissions

I would like to put a few photos in the main root and not put them in albums. Some of my photos don't fit into any album group.

I also would like to make some photos hidden to some users and not to others and not have to make a sub album.

Sorry. Gallery 1 does not support either of those things, and never will.

Gallery 2 supports items in the root, but permissions are still handled at the album level.

I understand that Gallery won't allow those things because G2 is the next installment. I couldn't find a G2 suggestion forum and I'm glad G2 allows root items and hopefully one day permissions per photo.
