Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): annoyedcomputer/gallery
Gallery version: 2
Apache version: 1.3.33
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 4.3.9
Graphics Toolkit: unknown
Operating system: linux 2.4.22
Web browser/version (if applicable):
I downloaded today the ver 2 from SourceForge, and went through the install. The wizard checked everything OK, except for a "Gallery file integrity" warning that 9 files were modified. (I have the list if that is helpful.)
At step 7 I get " Core module is only partially installed. " with the following in the Debug output box:

file_exists(/home2/annoyedc/gallery2/g2data//cache/module)

this forum is about g2. with version 2, do you mean g2 beta 2?
if you downloaded from sourceforge, then you should have 0 missing and 0 modified files.
so before you start installing G2, reupload the modified files.
and before installing again, make sure g2data is empty and that the database is empty.
