My Gallery 2 Install Is Looping

I've downloaded the latest G2 .zip and have everything set up on my server. I can run through the installation process - green lights across the board. When I get to the last step (creating the first album), it takes me back to step 1 like it is the first time I've run the installer. Is anyone else having this problem?

- don't use winzip to unzip gallery2.zip.

Which step, exactly? The last step is "Go to your gallery" and the step before that is "Install other modules". We create the root album back when we install the core in step 5 or so.

It sounds to me like it's either not writing your config.php file or your g2data/versions.dat file. Can you verify that both of those exist? Thanks.
