Large Images not uploading correctly

Hey all,

I tryied to find info on this but could not find the exact problem.

When I try to upload images that are 1.5 MB or larger the thumbnails and initial image sizes do not get created. I am using the applet to upload. I get the broken icon where these items should be. If i resize the image considerably smaller it seems to work fine.

please fill out the support template.
if you are using Gd for your graphics toolkit try imagemagick or netpbm.
