Let guest view album exists but require permissions to enter

This is a feature asked for over and over, and I believe it was solved for gallery 1.x. I want to let guests see that an album exists, but if they do not have permissions to view the album, then they should be taken to a login page / be told that they cannot enter. Same for users without the right permissions. Is there any way to do this? Maybe add another core permission of [view existance]? |

I think we should require "view original" permission to view the contents of an album but only "view" permission to see its thumbnail. Please file a feature request for this if there isn't one already.
