Anyone got any suggestions? I've had a look at the sites for IonCube, mmTurk and eAccelerator and they all appear to only have been tested on 4.x.x.

I'd like to stick with G2 but the current performance on my server is reducing the viability of that quite considerably. It's a RaQ4 so standard 450Mhz CPU and 128 MB memory - the latter gets up to 95% utilisation very quickly after a few visits to the site, slowing the server to a crawl.

So seeing as the first suggestion seems to be to install an accelerator, here I am :)

128mb is very low these days. 450mhz too.

@accelerators: you already mentioned the accelerators we recommend. don't know any other free accelerator. the zend studio costs like $1000 which is, when i interpret your server specs, no option.
if they work with php 5? no idea.

I must admit, I've had that RaQ for a few years now. Maybe it's time to think about upgrading.

Question still stands about the accelerators though if anyone has any input (using some PHP5 specific XML classes on the box - would rather avoid installing 4 alongside if I possibly can)
