gallery in mambo: width not correct?

Hi!

I have gallery 1.5 embedded in mambo 4.5.2 with the component provided by gallery. It works great, except for one small detail. The mambo theme i created uses a fixed width left and right menu area, and a variable width center area, which uses the rest of the screenwidth. This works fine in mambo, but gallery seems to be too big and it makes my right menu area smaller, so that it doesn't fit nicely in my theme anymore.. I hope my explanation makes sense. Any idea how to fix this?

YES! I limited the displayed photo to 600 or less. This generates an interim file that is used when user's click on the photo from the thumbnail. The full version is transmitted to Shutterfly or one of the other print processors.
