[SOLVED] Dropped my db

Hey guys, I did as you could already read something really stupid, I deleted all db entries of my gallery. I did so because I thougt that my main domain and all the subdomains have seperate db's. But that wasn't the case. And to complete the stupid story, my host provider has no backups of the db at all.
My question is now, how can I use my old g2data folder when I install the gallery new? This would be really helpfull since I wouldn't have to ul the pictures again and just have to rename them.

do a new install, new g2data directory.
site admin / general.. add your old g2data directory as a valid path for local uploads.
top level album, add items, from local server.. go into the albums dir and check all the album directories there to begin recursive adds of those directories.
