One Image In Multiple Albums

Hi.

This is mostly a question about whether or not this is possible with Gallery 1.4.1.

I currently have albums categorized by year, and another which features a selection of photos from each of the annual albums. The way I've done it is by uploading the files into each album. To save space on my server, I would like to be able to "pull" images from an existing album into a new album. Is this possible?

Gallery 1 will allow you to copy or move an image, but there is no way to link it.

G2 allows image linking, but it is still in development and not recommended for production environments.

How exactly do I enable image linking? How do I use it? And also, why is it not recommended? Image linking should be a simple thing in theory.

G2 is in development. Signe was not refering to the linking ..... click the create link when you view the item, to create a link in G2.
