subject separation inside an album

Recently, I've uploaded about 688 pictures from my wedding travel. You know, it was a 3 weeks travel and we saw many things and took pictures about many many things...
It's a bit boring doing different sub-album, because I want to show all my entire collection.
I don't know if it could be simple but I think it could be great having something which could name and seperate different parts inside an album. I've done an exemple from a screen capture.
I like to use iPhoto or Picasa, showing pictures in continuous folder by folder or subject by subject... that's a great way to browse pictures.

Take a look at my exemple and tell me if it could be interesting...

Its an odd concept, but I bet if you use G2 it can be done. If you are using G2, this suggestion should really go in the G2 forums though. Would you like me to move it?

Well, this is actually a very good place for it... but since G2 is currently being developed and G1 is being end-of-lifed, G2 is the more likely place for this to happen.

In fact, if I were you I would create a thread in the G2 forum that is most appropriate (maybe the dev thread?) detailing exactly how you think it should work. Then I would follow up by creating an RFE on the http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ site so that it doesn't get lost track of.

To me, it sounds like it would be a layout... you would probably still organize images into sub-albums, but then you would use your layout to display all the sub albums in one view but seperated some how.

Perhaps you would have some soft of flag or setting that would designate an album to display any of its sub-albums in that manner BUT display sub-sub albums in the normal manner.

I have to say I don't think I would make use of it... but if a dev likes the idea or if you develop it on your own, someone else is sure to use it!
