I have managed to install Gallery on my desktop using IIS5, ImageMagick and PHP. After some twiddling, this is working fine.
I also managed, with a lot of help from floridave (Thanks Dave!) to customize Gallery and create wrappers that integrate Gallery into my site.

Reason for the local install is to test Gallery, finish the setup, customize and create Albums with pictures without being connected and using bandwidth. I am ready now and would like to move my Gallery Albums to my Unix Host. I have Gallery setup and running on the Unix site.

My questions: Before copying my Albums directory from my Windows destop machine to the Unix host (via FTP) I went over the doc's again and stopped at the 'Backup/Restore caveat'. The explanation instructs to run dos2unix on all (?) .dat files. I have looked at some of the .dat files and did not find cr/lf sequences. I'm not sure what I should do now.

So simply said, I would like to copy (via FTP) my Albums that were created on a Windows IIS machine to a Unix host. How should I do that? If any conversion is needed, on what files exactly?

Thanks for any help.
