Hey all Gallery developers! I think that there is an issue with the fact that you have to use the address on the internet when confing the gallery. I don't know much php but I'm good with HTML and from experance I know there is not real need to have the real address of the website just the document related like so for instance I could have a link that is to /index.html from a document that is in that same dir. why can't you guys do the same? Check out this topic <!-- BBCode Start --><A HREF="http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB_14&file=index&action=viewtopic&topic=3002&4" TARGET="_blank">http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB_14&file=index&action=viewtopic&topic=3002&4</A><!-- BBCode End --> (Sorry the link is so long) Perhaps you can give me a fix or put a new option in the next version of gallery.

Hi TreeWalker.
You make an excellent point, and as mentioned in the "pictures are red x's" thread, Gallery doesn't have to use full URLs everywhere.
HOWEVER,
This "feature" of Gallery  is actually there on purpose. We had so many problems with people not understanding what a "server-relative" (you call it "document related") url (such as /gallery/albums.php) is that we were swamped with questions that took a lot of effort and wasted time to resolve for people. So this change curbed most of those questions. You should, however, be able to put a server-relative URL (such as "/" or "/gallery") in place of what you have for Step 2 of the Config. Wizard, and everything should come out okay.
