Pop-up & Polls question

Hi guys,
I just finished installing Mambo+Gallery+SMF and got it working beautifully. However, since Gallery is embedded into Mambo & when the user submits a large image, the whole layout will "break". Is it possible for the picture to open in a pop-up window when the user clicks the thumbnail.

My next question is regarding the polls. I want to have the polls to be displayed when the user clicks on the image, not when in the album area. (I have limited space) :cry:
