Hi, This is a new G2 Beta3 module that automatically detects and highlights an album thumbnail as specified within the module's configuration. Album Auto-Highlight By Filename can be useful for people who upload many albums and want a custom thumbnail automatically set for each. It requires that you create in your PC a custom thumbnail for each album and place it with the other album items. So, for example, you can create a _category_image.jpg for each of your albums and then, when uploading the items, Album Auto-Highlight By Filename will check for _category_image.jpg and set it as the album's thumbnail and also remove all permissions so that it can only be viewed as an item by the administrator group. Thanks for this contribution, ralphch.. I am curious how this differs from the custom thumbnail option of the thumbnail module? (activate thumbnail module, do edit album / General tab and see custom thumbnail section) |

I think this is an automatic way for a certain image to become the album's thumbnail. Like, if you upload 100 images and *one* of them is named frog_category_image.jpg that image will be used instead of simply the first one uploaded. |

yup, fryfrog is right. congratulations ralphch. G2 has a steep learning curve and you've mastered it perhaps you could clarify what your module does in your first post of this thread. and you need a module name that is more descriptive. |

I've changed my first post. Let me know if the module's purpose is still not clear. Also, if you think of a better name, please let me know. I'll try finding a more descriptive yet brief name for Album Thumbnail. Maybe 'Automatic-Custom Album Thumbnail'?? Regards, |
