Mambo sidebar and basic question.....

The easy question first:

all albums are sub albums!
+++++++=duh+++++++++++

How can admin make new albums? All I can see is the Actions > add sub album. I know I am missing something simple but how do I make a new top level album?

With Mambo I can't get the menus on top of the albums so it ends up making the sidebar repeat. once in the sidebar, then the exact same menus on the side of the gallery when it is embedded. Can I move the menu to display horizontal across the top?
