Spainish and Portguese translation show up as english

Hi everybody, first of all, thank you for the great program! You did a wonderfull job! I can't figure out, why my portuguese and spanish language packs show up as an icon but won't have spanish or portugues content. if you shoose spanish vor instance everything apperas in english. i believe i installed the language packs correctly and couldn't find any help searching the forum. i hope somebody has an idea? thank you. andre |

i guess its a problem of your system.
Are there warnings in step 1 of the setup ?
Which OS (Distribution) are you running Gallery on ?

yes, there is one warning:
Ernsthafte Warnung!
Die PHP Option 'register_globals' ist auf Ihrem Server eingeschaltet. Es wird aus Sicherheitsgründen dringend empfohlen diese Option auszuschalten, wenn keine andere Software damit kollidiert.
The strange thin is that my provider enables an automatic installation of photo gallery. this is version 1.4. and there evrythings seems fine. i cannot go to this version though as all mi pics ar in the 1.5. version
2) on the server there is linux running, i'm hostet at domaingo.de (a company from domainfaytory.de)

No other warning regarding locales ?
Hmm, strange.
The other gallery 1.4 is translated into spanish ?
2.) which Distribution exact is there installed ?

thank you fopr your help!!!
1) i didn't install any other language in the other directory. as i wohn't need it anymore i just have teh 1.5 version installed
2) i don't know where i can find out the exact distribition?

1.) i thought "this is version 1.4. and there evrythings seems fine" means "i can see this 1.4 perfectly in spanish"
2.) Ask your horst ;)
