With G2, not being able to watermark an entire album at once is INCREDIBLY frustrating. I have a client that now has several thousand stock images that he shot himself, and suddenly he is receiving a lot of publicity. Also suddenly, watermarking is important to him. Unfortunately, I can't be of much help.
He used to have a Gallery1 installation, but I moved him to G2 when b3 hit. It has worked great, other than the watermarking issue.
Since this doesn't seem like something that will be added any time soon, I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has had the need to mass-watermark entire albums.
I've been trying to think of a workflow that will allow me to maintain the titles/summaries/descriptions but get the images watermarked. There is no intermediate image, they are all scaled down to a single standard size. I was thinking of perhaps moving them out of G2 to watermark and then back into G2, but I haven't had much luck with that. Since G2 now holds a great repository of my client's images, I'm stuck with it as a solution for now.
I thought watermarking entire albums would be a standard feature for G2. It's not such an obscure need and I'm surprised I haven't seen more requests for it. Nonetheless, I'm trying to work with what I have (beta 4- working great watermarking issues notwithstanding) and was hoping perhaps someone might have some experience that would be of help.
Thanks!
