its a bit confusing since mambo has its own database. anyways if you go to my site here:
http://www.reemasville.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=50&g2_view=core.UserAdmin&g2_subView=register.UserSelfRegistration&g2_return=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.reemasville.com%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_gallery2%26Itemid%3D50%26g2_view%3Dcore.ShowItem%26g2_itemId%3D230&g2_returnName=photo

you'll see the image for new users to register through gallery, does not appear. is there a way to fix this?

reemas,

you have put mirror users on, this will make sure that any logged in user is copied to the gallery2 database as well! You don't have to register them again.

I'm having the exact same problem with G2 and Mambo.

I turned off "Display G2 login" but the page still shows the
"Register" link - which is totally useless since I'm already mirroring the
Mambo user list.

Also the "security" word for new users to register
with does not show up.

Has anyone figured out whats going on with this?
I'd really like to remove the "Register" link from G2...

thanks,
steve

i have both problems, the security image doesnt show up for me.

im tired of creating new posts... and i mentioned this elsewhere and didn't get the right feedback, but commenting IS BROKEN on mambo installs.

try leaving several comments and displaying them all (sidebar, on the page, etc...). post back if it works for you.

reemas,

its not, i can post comments on my site without any problems. I'm to busy to check all the bugs at once, but your bug is on the list so i'll get there in time.

register shouldn't be used so if it is broken i don't care, it will only mess up the syncing.

yup. that took care of it.

note: i should have probably figured that one out, but I guess that can help point out the complexity of the newer gallery, vs the older one. so many new things and some strange names.

thanks!
