Saving Re-sized images

I setup Gallery for a client all running Win 98 (I use XP). After posting some images they wanted to be able to right-click and save the smaller 'resized' (640px) files too. However, for some reason those files when saved to their hard-drive aren't saved as jpeg's and cannot be opened. This is a wee problem I would like a solution for. Note, it works fine on my machine - I can save the smaller version as jpegs no problem (actually, they save as .jpe files, but they still work fine). Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks. K |

What happens if you rename the file that you saved to "file.jpg"? Is it actually a jpeg?
What's the URL to your Gallery?

Are they using a really old version of IE ?
Have you tested with different machines and browsers
to make sure the problem isn't isolated to a certain configuration?
And as bharat mention, when they save it, or after they save it, manually
tack on the .jpg extension and see what happens.

They're using version 5, possibly 5.5 of IE so that's not it I think. I didn't take too much time to mess around on their machine, and run all the tests I should to see why this was happening. I figured that .jpe was not configured on her machine and this might be the cause.
