database ?

This may be a stupid question, but how do i create the database? Can I do it from the installer?

No you can't do it from the installer, see the README http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/gallery/gallery2/README.html

Check with your host, they probably have a button or two you can click to create a database through their control panel.

I read this but it doesn't adress creating the database. Am I missing something simple?

Any guidance would be helpful. My host does not offer this utlity....

Yes it does, read step 3 of "Preparing to install". You will need shell access to do this if they don't offer this in their control panel.

Contact your host for specific information on creating a database on their servers. They might not even have MySQL installed on the same server your website is on so you'd need to specify a host machine as well.
