Using Photoshop CS to adjust contrast/brightness is removing EXIF data. I use PS quite a bit and thus need to figure out a workaround for this issue. All which follows is true but a direct result of the manipulation by PS.

**********************
After successfully importing a large G1 installation weeks ago, EXIF data is not appearing for newly imported images.

I have tried multiple ways to import including import from file on server and the java desktop applet. In addition, I actually imported to G1,then imported from G1 to G2 to replicate what worked initially. No change.

I have changed the order of the image utilities after reading of the GD bug and EXIF data, and re-imported, with no change, no EXIF.

Can someone point me to some way to diagnose this issue?

The newly imported images are in "Events and Random/playing around with lenses and exposure" album, just created today.

thanks in advance.
