changing gallery directory

Hi there, i'm sure someone else has already posted this, but i'm not sure how to correctly address the problem:

I'm wanting to change what gallery is stored as to something else, ie. gallery is public_html/gallery, but i want it to be public_html/somethingelse. Does that make sense and does anyone know if that's possible without too much hassle? Thanks =)

reinstall gallery at the new location and copy the albums directory to the new albums directory. Make sure you chmod the new albums directory.
don't remove the old direcotyr untill the new one works.

Of course, you can always simply rename your "gallery" folder to "somethingelse". Then you'd want to pop open your config.php and search for "/gallery" and where appropriate, change to "/somethingelse"

Thanks for the tips guys!

Fryfrog - i've tried that but it doesn't seem to work. The first page is always, fine, then when i try to access an album a 404 error shows up.

Sounds like a bit of a hassle reinstalling everything, but i will do when i have time and can be bothered! Thanks muchly =)

Same problem for me...
I after upgrading to 2.21 I get the first page which looks fine, then 404 errors when clicking anywhere else on the gallery.

I assume it's a URL rewrite issue, but can't figure it out.
