Dear Gallery devs,
you make services like Hello, Flickr and all the rest look like 3rd party trash ;-)
I'm blown away by the vast array of features and adaptability to my needs, can't thank you enough for it.
Two details: The WinXP upload registry addition is great, it would be even better if I could use it with multisites :-)
Also, a lowtechie-"upgrade"-button somewhere in the admin section would be great, to have the script upgrade itself if there's a new version available. Aside from that, it's perfect :-)
regards,

Grendel

What do you mean by "multisites"? I use the WinXp addition for three of my galleries. I believe it requires the galleries to have different names, though. (I don't call any of mine "Gallery," but rather "Anna's photos" and "Mylastname Family Photos" and similar.)

I concur that the lowtech "upgrade" would be a nice addition. Currently I update Gallery for a couple of family members who cannot handle upgrades themselves. Another family member's webhost offers Fantastico which does include an automatic "one-button" upgrade of Gallery, though not in a very timely manner. (I still have to help with that. Apparently even one-button installs are "too technical" for my family members.)

Gallery 2 should at some point gain the ability to upgrade from with in itself, including the core application and any modules registered with this online update system. Have a poke around it.
