This is what I get when trying to access the Gallery

Upgrading Users
The user database in your gallery was created with an older version of the software and is out of date. This is not a problem! We will upgrade it. This may take some time. Your data will not be harmed in any way by this process. Rest assured, that if this process takes a long time now, it's going to make your gallery run more efficiently in the future.
If you get an error, and only some users are upgraded, try refreshing the page to upgrade remaining users.

Your host probably moved your files from one location to another. It seems like you had your files in /var/www/html/gallery/albums/ but now it's probably moved to \\nas23ent\domains\d\dailly-parish.co.uk\user\htdocs\gallery\classes\gallery\albums
You'll need to edit config.php by hand and update the paths, or get your host to help you fix it.

thank you.
My previous host did do this form me but I hae downloadedthis myself with a new host so.............I think I am going to have to upload all the photos again!! The trouble is that I have text on old school pics which I don't want to type again, if I kept the info. this is a community website.
thanks again for trying to help me

Just thought H0bbel
If I copy the new dir.
\\nas23ent\domains\d\dailly-parish.co.uk\user\htdocs\gallery\classes\gallery\albums
into where the old dir.
/var/www/html/gallery/albums/
That should work shouldn't it?
Berenice, thinking aloud

Berenice17, as long as the paths are correct, and the permissions are correct as well, you should be fine.
Nope I am not going to manage this. Where are permissions? do I change that line in just the config.php? If I can't manage this I will have to give up. it is just too hard for this old lady, lol. The community will have to go without their album

Berenice17, change the line in config.php, then open your gallery. You might get errors, but they can most likely be resolved by following FAQ Gallery:c.15

Think I got that. Now I have to log in!! I don't know hwat password etc to use. Host or the one for here? I have mad a blank file as instructed called resetadmin.php and put it in the setup folder but nothing!
Can you help again please;)
Berenice nearly there!!!
Berenice17, the resetadmin file is not in the correct directory ( \\nas23ent\domains\d\dailly-parish.co.uk\user\htdocs\gallery/setup ) it seems.
ooooooooh i feel terrible asking you again. the first part of the code must be right for me to get a log on page, yes? and it tells me to put resetadmin in the setup folder? so why am I not getting instructions. If I make a blank file. How will it give me instructions?
A confused old woman ;)
Put an empty file there, and open the setup page in the browser. Further instructions will be given on that page, if you put the file in the correct place.

Ok H0bbel, I got all that andset up pages but it gave me this error in the code. I have been around the FAQ but can't find what I want. Here is the code I got:
// Error: zipinfo: /usr/bin/zipinfo must be a valid file (not a directory)! // Error: unzip: /usr/bin/unzip must be a valid file (not a directory)!
As this isn't on my site yet (I presume) how can I correct this please.

Now, enable debug mode ( FAQ Gallery:c.31 ) try an upload, and post the debug results.
Is that the whole code you want?
I want the results of what happens with debug mode on.
Done that and it still says 'Page cannot be found'
I have just gone around the gallery again and now the 'album actions' are not working at all!
The small window says' it is not closing as it is in debug mode' The 'album actions, are working. I didn't realise that is was on the bottom toolbar
Posts: 13451
There is more in the small window though, right?
Page cannot be found when I try to upload photos.
all the other commands seem to be ok

Berenice17, in that case, only the system administrator can help you. We can diagnose the problem if you don't get any error output.

do you mean my host?

Thank you H0bbel
I got in touch with my host (this is a new host) and they told me that I don't have Apache. I have 11s6 !! Would this make a difference. I am getting back in touch with them to see if they can sort this out for me.
I will let you know how I get on
Thank you again for our time and help

Hi
I just got this
> - Look back at the error message returned by your scripts
> - See if it points a specific line of code or a component
> - Check any documentation notes you may have
it must the the link on the 'Add some photos' to get to the window to add them. Do you know where I can find this page to look please
Posts: 13451
You don't get an error message, it crashes before one is output to you. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but IIS6 is not supported by Gallery, especially not in a hosted environment.
You could try to point your host to the IIS docs at http://gallery.sf.net/docs.php - and ask them to pay attention to the user contributed notes regarding IIS6. Good luck!

ohhhhhhhh
But why has it uploaded files from my directory that were on the old gallery? There isn't a way I could add photos in DreamweaverXP either I expect? I really want to use this program.
I have emailed the link to my server so see what they say. As I didn't really know much about Apache and never even heard of IIs6 I am annoyed with myself. Just never thought to looked when I went with them!!
You might see me back again. lol
Thanks again for your time and patience

Berenice17, you cannot use dreamweaver to add stuff to Gallery, in fact you would probably break it if you did.
The old stuff got transferred, because it was generated on the old host. That will still work, but new uploads won't.
