Gallery intergrity checker...

First off, Gallery is nothing but the BOMB =)

Ive noticed (via moderater feedback) that files (dat's, images, phps, locks, etc) seem to get corrupted for no visible reason. Either my host provider is mucking around changing things without notifying me, or I might just be mucking the source code up myself. Needless to say, with a 6 gig site, and 1.5 million hits a month I can not afford for my site not to work because of a file corruption.

I suggest that G2, or G1.3.x include a perl/php script that checks the gallery application (as a whole) for integrity related problems.

I would love to code this myself, but I have no clue as to what data needs to be verified besides file permissions and dat file data.

Can anyone suggest what I should verify? If so I can start coding...
