Can't migrate albums from G1 to G2

I installed G2 (final release) and set it up as multi-site. When I try to import one existing G1 installation, I don't get the import options screen after I provide it with the path to the G1 album. No errors, it just gives me a "blank" screen (blank in the main section but it does have the top and left links displayed.

I have a second G1 install that was integrated with phpbb. I get a little further with that one. After providing the path for G1, I do get the "Select Albums and Users" screen. It says "No available users" because the users are really in the phpbb database. Okay, I could work around that since there are only a handful of users by imporing and changing permissions, etc. So I select all the albums (and subalbums) from the Source window. But after I click on Prepare Import, I get the same "blank" screen as described above.

Both G1 installs are v1.5 and I did go in and perform the Find Orphans to clean up and I did run the Validate Albums which did not find any problems.

Suggestions?

Okay, so I jumped the gun a little. I went through those steps setting up a new site. After installing the modules, it told me I had to go to Admin->Modules for further configuration. When I get to step 12, I click on Modules to configure the url_rewrite and it remains on the admin screen I was on (general). It does not take me to the Modules screen. I can go to other screens (e.g. Groups, Maintenance, User) but it won't take me to modules.

Did you try the g2 integrity check? What did it say?

Nope. Can't find it. I figured it would be under Maintenance but I don't see Integriy Check.

I finally got the G1 -> G2 migration to working. Even though I limited the number of modules to activate within my 8mb php limit, the fix was to have the sysadmin up the limit. He set it to 32mb, I reinstalled and activated a few modules at a time but this time I was able to get into Modules via the Site Admin menu and migrate the users and albums for one of my sites. Everything seems to be working so far.
