Hello,

-I have seen a few sites who had added there banner on the g2 gallery. On the
G2 Demo Sites: http://photos.chioubaccalovin.com/gallery2/. they have added there
banner very good. How can i do that with the same size???

- My second question will be , how can i transfer my gallery1 pictures into g2??
With the same range and album numbers.

- I have the classic theme, and every time that i add a picture in g2, the new gallery goes
down on the buttom of the page. But i want my new pictures to go at the top of the page,
can some one help me with this one 2?

I hope you can help me out, thank You.

Maybe instead of answering your questions someone on the gallery team could come to your house and personally show you how it all works. That way you won't have to bother reading anything, trying anything or changing any settings on your own.

Like Gallery? Appreciate my help? Think I'm an asshole? Make your point by donating to the Gallery project! Or maybe just visit my website.

Since you obviously have experience with forums, it shouldn't be my place to have to tell you that reading is a key part of a forum system. Two of your questions are so basic they are laughable. I will continue to mock your lack of any effort on your part by saying "Site Admin -> Import -> Gallery 1". Could it be any easier or more obvious? The other answer is a little longer, but is again fairly easy to figure out on your own if you don't mind actually using G2 for about 5 minutes. I'm so confidant that you can figure it out that I will simply point you to "Edit Album" and let you go from there. You can change some defaults (gallery wide ones) under "Site Admin" too.

At least one of your questions though is a little tougher. Of course, as with any established project and/or forums, it has been asked before and there is even an entire forum devoted to it... you can find it at http://gallery.menalto.com/forum/59 and I wish you luck.

If all that is too much, I suggest either the Paid Support option or even some other online photo album system which is easier to use like Flickr.

Ghoul-
Please read the documentation that is included in Gallery 2 as well as the docs that are on codex.gallery2.org. We've spent a lot of time writing them in the hopes that they will answer any basic (and some not so basic) questions that you may have regarding Gallery 2. If you read the docs and figure these things out on your own, it will save you a lot of time in the future if you decide to tinker around with your Gallery, since you may already know the answer, and if not, you will know where to find it.

Why have a forum? If all your going to get is fashist remarks like the one above. I have the same question and I have read until I'm red in the face to no avail. I'm sure the answer is there some where. I used to deal with those fashists at Dmoz, they have the same attitude, I'm God don't bother me. That's cool anyone can think they are God, but forums are for helping people!
If someone had answered this dudes question I'd be on my way.

If you don't want to answer the question, then don't, but don't belittle a person.

Or you could be nice( I know that hurts ) and with your remark leave a link to this wonderful information you have.

A forum is not something for the webmasters, it's for the users of the site that are having problems, asking help from the other users of the site.

And fagfrog, forums are for posting questions, not for your sick bull.
I've been using the internet and forums from the start, and forums are for posting and getting answers. But there are a lot of forums like this one out there and people just stop going to them.

People come here because of the great product Gallery2, but the docks suck also many people are new to dynamic sites, So if you don't have an answer other then ( I know but I'm not going to tell you.) then shut the **** up.

I've read the docks and there is nothing about adding banners.
There is something about Google Adsence that's it.
Well let me get back to searching for other forums that might have the answer I'm looking for.
Because this post is almost a year old and this forum just doesn't have any members to answer the laughable question.

fryfrog may be sarcastic but sure not fascist in the original sense. :)
Don't take someone too seriously when the person is oviously answering in a tone that is inappropriate. It usually is a broad hint for something else.

Anyhow, I agree that things like sarcasm etc don't work very well in emails and forum posts, unless one gives other communicative hints.

To answer your question regarding banners...

themes/matrix/templates/theme.tpl as an <img> tag at the top. You can replace the src path to point to your own image / banner.
