I've upgraded to 1.5.1, applied also the 1.5.1 fr_FR lang pack, and saw that many strings were not correctly translated (it was fine with 1.5pl1).
I had no idea how translation works, but I digged into it a bit, and found that .po files in the french pack were probably broken?
many lines started with
#, fuzzy
where it should be (at least I think!)
#fuzzy

this prevented strings to be translated. Removing the comma fixed the issue, So I fixed all of them. I also did several corrections in translations.

I have put the new po files, and a patch against original po files from fr_FR-1.5.1.tar.gz here: http://www.limozin.net/tmp/fr.tgz

Hello Jerome,

your assumption is wrong :)
The #, fuzzy is correct, and says that something in the original text changed.

Could you send me your complete po files via mail ?
Then i will make an updated french language pack.

Jens

Oh well, I knew I was a beginner :)
but removing the commas fixed the issue (after recompiling the .mo files), so then I am not sure what was wrong.
COuld you pick up the files here? http://www.limozin.net/tmp/fr.tgz
this containst the 2 .po files + a patch against original ones.
I don't know your email address and it doesn't seem I can attach a file in a private reply to your post.

thanks a lot
jerome

I did a look at your changes.
I dont understand french ;) but i think you were a little lazy.

For example:
#fuzzy
msgid "No content"
msgstr "Contenu du RSS"

You just removed the ,
Result is, that the translation is used.
But is see no "RSS" in the original text.

If you want to do it correct, i suggest you use poEdit, its a tool specially made for editing po files. You can get it from Sourceforge and works also under windows.
There you can update and unfuzzy a translation easy.

Also i see you remove A LOT other ,
Not nice :)

Jens

Well, no, I didn't remove anything. Only thing I did was to remove the comma everywhere (which I now understand was not the right thing), and corrected some wrong translation. In fact, I added several missing ones too.
for example, this is not from me, it was in the original file:
msgid "No content"
msgstr "Contenu du RSS"

I'll go back to drawing board and will use poEdit.

Well, what i mean is, that you removed the ","
that indicated to me that you say this translation is not fuzzy.

Thanks for your efforts !
