thread subscription update email urls broken

When you are subscribed to a thread, and receive email urls, they are broken if the thread has more than one page. For example, I recently received the following url in a thread subscription update email message:

http://gallery.menalto.com/node/32642#comment-137017

Instead of bringing me to the new reply referenced, it brings me to the top of the first page of the thread (as it searches for the #comment-137017 anchor and doesn't find it on the first page, of course).

My guess is that you could just take the code that you use to generate the "last page" link within a given thread, then append the comment anchor reference, to solve this issue. Is there anything I could do to help?

Drupal creates bad links like this all over.. I've already fixed the "# new" links for each topic, the little link next to each post, the redirect after posting a new comment or editing your own comment. I'll take care of this one in the emails too, hopefully it is the last. Thanks for the offer.
(actually, where you or anyone can help is by visiting drupal.org and posting followups on existing bug reports encouraging drupal devs to fix these things :-))
