hi @all,

first: i love g2 and i also love gallery remote. these are two fantastic tools, everyone should use!

unfortunately i have encountered a strange problem using the picture-upload with gallery remote. and i have not found any related topics in this forum...

if i upload pictures with "90 deg CCW"-orientation in the exif-header, they appear a little damaged in g2. it seems to be, that a small part of the left side is going to be attached on the right side of the picture. very strange... all other pictures with different orientations appear correctly.

is this a problem of gallery remote or imagemagick? i have imagemagick 6.2.5 Q16 installed on my computer, just as gallery remote 1.50 and java 5.0. i attached one of those pictures, so you will easily understand, what i mean.

can anyone help me?

thanx,
frank

Can you also attach the original picture? Have you tried installing another version of IM on the machine where you run GR?

hi paour,

first i had IM 6.2.4 on my machine, i guess. then i installed the newer version.

today i found out, that the small part on the right fits exactly to the left, if you mirror it horizontally... maybe this helps...

here you can find the original picture: http://www.schwarzhoff.de/IMG_5133.JPG (it is too big for this forum).

thanks a lot!

I have a very similar problem; something in the handling of pictures is corrupting my JPEGS: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/37699
