I've installed G2 and sometimes i'm succesful at uploading pics and other times not and I get the memory allocation error. I know most people say to just add the
php_value memory_limit 32000000
line to .htaccess file
but here's the problem, everytime I make a .htaccess file and upload it no matter if it contains that line or not, i go to do ANYTHING with my gallery and I get an Internal Server Error and I can't do anything.
I know that with G1 it required you to make .htaccess files and another file and go through and set some permissions but I never was told to do that for G2, did I miss something? How can I fix this memory allocation issue?
Thanks

You're doing the right thing to fix the memory allocation issue. I'd contact your host to see why you can't upload a .htaccess file, other than a messed up Apache configuration I don't know why it would be doing that. Maybe ask them if they can bump up the memory avaliable to PHP to at least 16MB
