The G2 "module" for mxBB will integrate G2 smoothly into the portal/cms environment, without modding any G2 files. The user and group syncronization is done runtime and no adminCP administration is needed.

mxBB defines a G2 "mxBB users" and "mxBB admins" group and adds users as soon as they visit a embedded Gallery page. mxBB admins automatically get G2 admin rights and mxBB users get G2 user permissions.

The G2 imageBlock (recent, random album/image etc) is also implemented for mxBB, with all imageBlock settings integrated with the mxBB userCP and cache.

See a demo here (swedish page)

The G2 module for mxBB will be officially availabe at the mxBB project site (www.mxbb-portal.com) once mxBB 2.8 is stable enough to be released. Current mxBB (2.7.6) do not have the G2 module - only the G1.x module available.

P.S. Will this do as a sticky?

is it a g2 module or a mxbb module?
usually, integrations are modules for the external application and the module is mostly just a wrapper file etc.

it is a mxBB module, only a few files, hooking up with a working g2 installation and providing mxBB with g2 main and image blocks. g2 can still be run in standalone mode. only restriction is WHERE g2 should be installed, to solve a few path issues. atm, the mxBB module for g2 has hardcoded paths to the g2 installation.

the mxBB module for g2 and the g2 installation itself is located in different folders.
the mxBB module for g2 is only a wrapper for easy ucp management of all embed parameters.
