Gallery version:2.0

I just installed the G2.0, and tried to create a new user through the admin panel, however, I found that if I log in as the new user, i do not have the function to upload any photos.
Meaning that only the admin has the permission to upload photos to the gallery.
So, how can I create a new user and allow this user to upload photos?
Thank you!!!

browse to your g2, click edit permissions, add the corresponding permissions to the "Registered users" group.

thank u mate, but i did not find there is any permission which is related to Uploading Photos.
There are only permissions related to Add Sub-item, is it same as Add Item? since what i want is to allow registered users to freely upload photos, which permission setting I should add?
thank you!

add sub item = adding a photo = uploading a photo.

Actually you should consider that not everyone speaks English as their native language and it does not necessary follow that "add sub item" is the same as "add the corresponding permissions to the "Registered users" group.

ok, donation.
anyway, from the HCI perspective, i think the current G2 does not have a well-designed interface, including the Naming, Layout, and so on. insufficient metaphors make it diff. for users to understand the entire logic of the interface.
however, it is just my personal opinion. it is a nice product, gernerally. i would like to donate for this.

i'm never asking for donations. i'm offering here free support, i'm developing for free and the product is getting better and better.
so do what you want with G2 and the answers to support requests. leavehere seems to have confused posts or so and obviously the answer was clear enough since leavehere understood the concept.
besides, every x hundred posts i guess i have the right to write at least one sarcastic sentence
leavehere
since G2 is designed to mainly manage photos in albums, but also is general enough to manage any type of files, we called the actions / permissions "add item" and "add album". well, we could have called album a "container" to confuse even more.
we should it make simpler to change the string "sub-item" or "item" to "photo", true.
right now, you could write your own G2 translation, english to english and replace "item" with photos...
but we are aware of major usability issues that G2 still has. and we want to address them in the next release of G2. but we still lack of a usability expert (but we know where we can find some in the open source community).
