select images for a slideshow via a URL? (i.e. meta-slideshow)

I have large gallerys of sports photographs. It would be awesome to create "meta-slideshows" which feature a selection of images which I've selected - hopefully via something in the URL. This would allow me to send a link to parent 1 which features a slideshow of just his kid. I could also send a different link to parent 2 of pictures I think would be of interest to them. Many parents like to browse the whole team album, and this is fine as well, so I don't want to "hide" the pictures from anyone.

It would be a bit of a pain to create each meta-slideshow, but I'd be willing to hand craft the URL to do it. Just as an example of what I'm thinking, I'll throw this out. (Yes, I know this is invalid and that it doesn't work this way - I'm just trying to illustrate my thoughts.)

http://www.mysite.com/gallery/slideshow.php?set_albumName=gamepictures&image001.jpg&image007.jpg&imge015.jpg&image022.jpg

This would start a slideshow of images 1, 7, 15 and 22.

Right now I send an e-mail with a link to each photo. The "slideshow" is that they click each link (but of course in their "mail" window, not in a web browser.)

I've thought about creating different gallery users with different permissions to see different photos, but then people would have to "log out" to see the other pictures. That seemed like the wrong direction, but I figured I'd mention it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
