hi. I am new to gallery 2. my installation was smooth according to "system checks" but.... Core module is only partially installed. no "stack trace" available. now i am stuck. you can access my install.log at... http://plugyou.com/gallery/g2data/install.log. Please help me if you can. thanks! the below error is on the "database setup" page when i attempt re-instill. Gallery tables already exist in this database! But there is no 'versions.dat' file in your G2 storage directory which we interpret as a broken state of G2. Either create a versions.dat file with the correct format if you think your G2 should still work or select a clean install, which will erase all data in the database and in the storage directory. |

seeems to work now... i was missing those files.. not sure how since the check said i had them all earlier. now i just need to know how to install GD 2.0 on my dedicated server. is there a walkthrough for this? |

GD ? you mean the graphics library for php? easier and more reliable would be netpbm or imagemagick. http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Installation_Requirements#Image_Processing_Library |

thanks for the help. Yes GD 2.0... I would rather use that since both my blog wordpress amd gallery 2 uses GD 2.0. my server is currently running PHP 4.2 so GD 2.0 isnt on there. I would like to to get atleast something working. i will use imagemagik. I have no idea how to get this installed on my server. is there anyone that can do this for me? here is my site... www.plugyou.com/gallery |

I'm having a similar problem with Step 8 telling me it's only partially installed, but the messages appear to be successful in my log (attached). |

ctomasi please create a new forum topic and please delete g2data and drop the database and try again. your install log is the log of a retry, it's not the original install log. |
