Missing features from g1?

I'm sure I'm probably missing a configuration option somewhere, but I'm having trouble finding a couple of things I had configured in g1..

1) I liked the feature that used javascript to resize the picture to fit onto the client's screen. I can't seem to find this option anywhere in g2?

2) How do I turn off the view counter on the gallery? I don't really care to keep track of who viewed all my pictures. Is this possible?

1) well, if it's not already listed on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ , you can file a feature request for it
2) use the forum search function to find the solution in the g2 customizations forum.

1) hybrid and slider themes in G2 have this feature
2) there currently isn't any way to stop G2 from counting, but you can customize your theme to not display the count. hybrid theme has a theme setting for this.
