I attempted to upgrade from 1.4.3 to 1.5.1. I am having difficulty. The server is hosted by yahoo and ran with 1.4.3. Now it is giving me the following errors.

"// Error: Could not find /usr/local/bin/pnmcomp. Check your NetPBM directory to see which PNM Composite/Overlay executable you have (or just try using pamcomp instead). Please check your configuration (or use ImageMagick).
"

As stated, this worked before. I am not sure where to start. I can't change server variables since it isn't my server.

When I look at my NetPBM I get the error which is listed in the title of this topic.

Did you try switching to using pamcomp instead of pnmcomp in the config?

I attempted to do this but was unsuccessful. I ended up installing the entire netPBM binaries to a non-root directory and pointing to this location. I did not have access to the root and evidentilly you do not need access as long as you point to this location. It is now working properly.

True, the precompiled binaries we offer does not require root privileges

I have the exact same problem, with one exception: Netpbm Check gives the Expected status: 0, but actually received status 126 for many of the programs.
