I tried to upgrade from the dark fibre release to G2 2.0.1. Copied all the files to my server and went to the upgrade directory.
I got the following error:

1. reupload the G2.0.1 release files
2. clean your browser cookie cache / use another browser
3. go to upgrade/index.php again

I tried this (also deleted all my cookies), but still the same error.

oh, found the bugger. i've used the search function to find this:

please go to /lib/support/ -> click on cache management -> delete the db and template cache.
this should fix your problems.
