export gallery2 users into drupal

is there a way to export an existing standalone gallery2 users into a new drupal installation? i am just looking to do some testing and do not want to intergrate at the moment. thanks.

don't know if the existing drupal integration can dot that.
but you could write a script to do the export.

There is a posting on this at http://drupal.org/node/35920 . Maybe this posting is by you also (it's anonymous) but if not there may be some ideas there some time in the future. Right now it is not possible with gallery.module to do this.

Actually, I'm thinking of an export to excel spreadsheet or tab delimited file. Does Drupal accept these as acceptable entries?

I do not think there is such an import function. You can check http://drupal.org/node/28061 for guidance on how it could be done via the database, or post the question to the Drupal forums.

Thanks for the link. It's a start. If it doesn't work well, I guess I can always use a different cms.
