Copying or Linking Nested Albums

I am having great fun with Gallery - Thank You! http://www.clowns-international.co.uk have over 700 pics in theire gallery but on occasions images want to be stored in more than one album - is there an easy way of copying (not moving) photos from one album to another. or creating a link from one nested album to pics in another nested album. Not right now. This will be possible in Gallery 2... so it's in the cards.
One way you can sort of do this is duplicate the album directory for the album you want (inside your albums directory) and give it a new name. Then, change the permissions all to 777. Then, Gallery will register the "new" album. Now go in and remove the images you don't want. Kind of roundabout, but it could work in a pinch.
