I migrated successfully from g1 to g2.
Examining my directory structure, I found a confusing circumstance:
The old g1 installation hold the albums in different subdirectories at
/var/www/domain.tld/albums. After importing the albums to the new g2 location, the directories in the old /var/www/domain.tld/albums were untouched and some (not all!) of the directories were additionally found in the new /var/www/domain.tld/gallery/g2data/albums/
I remember, that i imported the pics in several session and perhaps I havent checked the same checkboxes at every session. Anyway: as I want to delete the former g1-installation futurely, I would prefer to have all pictures in the new /var/www/domain.tld/gallery/g2data/albums/
My questions:
- how can I have all pictures in /var/www/domain.tld/gallery/g2data/albums/
- why did I have an additional copy of some albums in the new directry /var/www/domain.tld/gallery/g2data/albums/
thanks for all explanations

g2 imports g1 albums. it doesn't move them.
the result is a copy of your g1 albums in the g2 g2data/albums directory, but in nested directories, not flat.
what is your question?
how to delete your g1 albums/ directory?
use bharat's cleanup script.

thanks for the answer, now i figured it out.
seems, that the import procedure of my huge directory structure (some thousands pics) left some directories and some pictures out.
