Gallery2 + Wordpress

I have gallery2 + wordpress installed and really like the plugin (http://mentges.net). However, the one issue that I have is that if you click on any of the links on the sidebar (e.g http://mentges.net/?cat=1) the images on the sidebar become broken. I believe this is because of wordpress rewritting the URL but am not sure how to fix this. I was figuring this is a common problem for people who use gallery and wp so hoping someone has found a solution. Thanks for the help

did you already ask in the http://wpg2.ozrgreg.com forums? i guess that's a pretty common quesiton there.

I did with little help really, well the developer complaining that they know about this issue, they have no fix, and to come here and ask

i don't really understand what the problem is. i guess with proper arguments to GalleryEmbed::init it wouldn't be a problem.
thus it's a WPG2 issue. let's wait for the GalleryEmbed changes that are due next week or in a few weeks or so. they won't fix your issue, but maybe the WPG2 will then change the way they give G2 the init arguments.
